The day we met with Yang Yang

For the ones who are not fluent in either Italian or Dutch (yet!), here a summary of the recent posts.

We imagined thousands of times our first meeting with Yang Yang trying to prepare ourselves : what to say or not say ? what to do and what not to do ? how to dress? which first words to pronounce?

We even embarked in a Chinese course trying to memorise the essential words in order to be able to communicate with him....

And then... it simply happened in an unexpected way..... We left the hotel around 3 p.m. for the District Administrative Centre where we were supposed to meet Yang Yang at around 4 p.m. 

However, we were somehow in advance on schedule and we saw Yang Yang still at the entrance of the building while we were arriving by bus....

No time to re-memorise the essential words we wanted to pronounce (Hello, I am mam/pap), to check if Justin had in his hands the peluche for his little brother, to try to breath regularly and control our emotions.....

It was a matter of seconds and we were outside the bus hugging and kissing Yang Yang who looked a little bit .... lost.

We then entered the building for some formalities and we stayed there for one hour and a half in order for Yang Yang to be acquainted with us before leaving back to the hotel.

At the hotel we had time to play in the courtyard before dinner and go to bed.

The day after we went again at the District Administrative Centre for other  administrative formalities and at the local police station to ask for Yang Yang's passport which will be issued on Friday.

We are of course super happy and excited.
